The phone is silent, the task is waiting: check notifications for field staff

A task existing does not mean its alert reached a phone. Test Bitrix24 notifications on the employee's actual device.

An illustrative example: a dispatcher assigns work to a field employee and assumes they know about it. The employee opens the app later and finds a task the phone never announced. The record exists, but the handover failed. The smartphone turned out to be the quietest participant in the briefing.

A push notification is a short application alert on a phone. It helps people notice an event, but does not prove they read the details or accepted the work. Check both alert delivery and the working agreement.

Choose one event to test

Use a test task or message without customer data. Record who sends it, to whom and which alert is expected. Do not change all settings at once: that makes the cause harder to identify.

Check whether the actual item appears in the correct employee's app. If it is missing, the issue may concern access, recipient or the scenario itself. Notification sounds will not fix that.

Check application settings

The official mobile notification guide explains how to choose push events. Open notification settings in the app and check the relevant event type, not only the general switch.

Check smart mode separately: it can avoid duplicating alerts on the phone when Bitrix24 is open on a computer. This cause is covered in the troubleshooting guide. For someone who left their computer at the office, that setting may produce an unexpected result.

Agree on the behaviour needed instead of enabling every alert. If the phone announces every minor event, an important assignment may disappear into the chorus.

Check phone permissions

Application and device settings are different layers. Use the official instructions for iPhone and Android: notifications must also be allowed by the phone's system. Android section names depend on the model.

Repeat the test on the employee's device in the relevant working state, including with the screen locked. Consider network connectivity and restrictions applied on that particular phone. One test does not justify promising identical behaviour on every model.

The alert arrived. Who accepted the work?

Agree which action means acceptance: an agreed status change or a short acknowledgement in the task. For urgent situations, define a backup contact method and a person responsible for checking.

For a team in Kyrgyzstan, specify working hours and a clear office-to-field contact rule. No response outside agreed hours should not automatically be read as refusal to work.

Keep the test result: device, event, app state and outcome. If the issue remains, this example helps support or a configuration specialist investigate faster. Access to the tool, permissions and external connections need separate checks.

QQDev implements Bitrix24 and trains teams. On the implementation page, you can discuss the route from assignment to confirmed acceptance. A useful starting point is one case where the record was in the system but the employee learned about it too late.
